Talbot Mrs. Frieda A. Talbot, 91, 108 E. Fourth Merrill died at 2:30 a.m. today in a Merrill hospital.

Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Krueger Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill. The Revs.

Peter Szleszinski and Brian DuBois will officiate and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Merrill. Friends may call after p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the parish rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The former Frieda Schillak was bom April 2, 1883, in Johannesburg, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Schillak. She was married in 1902 in Merrill to Adlord Talbot. Mr.

Talbot was chief of the Merrill Fire Department from 1939 until his death in 1941. Mrs. Talbot moved to Merrill at the age of nine. She was a member of the St. Francis Altar Society and had been a 50-year member of the Merrill Benevolent Association.

Survivors include two at Superior, while overnight lows varied from 13 at La Crosse to 18 at Superior. State forecast Partly cloudy northwest, mostly cloudy southeast tonight. Tonight's forecast called for partly cloudy skies in the northeastern counties with mostly cloudy conditions and a slight chance of snow for the southeastern section of the state. Lows tonight were expected to be mostly in the 20s. Looking ahead to next week, mostly cloudy skies were forecast for the three-day period Sunday through Tuesday with gradually cooling temperatures. Lows were expected to range from the 20s Sunday to 5 to 14 north and 15 to 20 south by Tuesday. High temperatures were forecast for the upper 20s northwest to the upper 30s southeast Sunday and the 20s and low 30s by Tuesday.

High temperatures Thursday ranged from 38 at Hilbert to 25 State traffic toll at 891 By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS After going through the Christmas holiday without a traffic death for the first time since 1969, Wisconsin recorded one death Thursday and three more early today. The deaths brought the' state's 1974 traffic toll to 891 today, compared with 1,129 on this date a year ago. Peggy Leider, 17, of rural Marinette, was killed early today when her car struck the rear of a flatbed truck on Wisconsin 180 about two miles northwest of Marinette. Two pedestrian were killed in separate accidents early today. Henry Klamm, 44, of the Town of Mount Pleasant, was killed early today when he was struck by a car at an intersection on Racine's South Side.

Police were seeking the driver. David Berntgen of Cassville died early today when he was hit by a vehicle in that Grant County community. Edna Peterson, 83, of Madison, was killed Thursday night in a two-car collision on Wisconsin 80 in Columbia County, near Arlington. She was a retired employe of Trego Transfer Co. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Katherine Brassard, 312 Scott Merrill. Mrs. Mary Krautkramer Mrs.

Mary Krautkramer, 81, Marathon Route 1, died at 9 p.m. Thursday in a Wausau hospital. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Kraemer Funeral Home in Marathon and at 10:30 a.m. at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Lloyd Geissler will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Kraemer Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday.

There will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Mrs. Krautkramer was bom Feb. 22, 1893, in Marathon, daughter of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph Gassner. She was married to Joseph Krautkramer on Oct. 28, 1912, in Marathon. He died Oct.

9, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Marathon and a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include five sons, Alois, Carl, Joseph, LeRoy and Lyle, all of Marathon Route five daughters, Mrs. Roman Gau, 2402 Bobwhite Wausau, Mrs. Emil Zins, 1113 S.

Jagodzinski was bora in the Town of Rietbrock on Aug. 30, 1893, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Jagodzinski. On Oct.

23, 1921, in Edgar, he married Helen Litwin, who survives. The retired farmer was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Sawyer Drumm American Legion Post, Edgar. Surviving, besides his wife, are five daughters, Mrs. Theodore Stencil, Marathon Route 2, Mrs. Alvin Cichon, 9200 Highway 29 West, Wausau, Mrs.

Melvin Krueger, 806 S. 48th Wausau, Mrs. William Artus, 701 Spruce Wausau, and Mrs. William Braun, Atens; one son, Andrew, Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Anne Knetter and Mrs.

Leo Wallner, both of Edgar; three brothers, Leo, Edgar, John, Janesville, and Tony, Goodrich; 14 grandchildren and four great -grandchildren. 25, 1909, in Lincoln County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kleinschmidt. He was married Aug. 31, 1940, to Arlie Harzke, who survives.

He was a farmer and lived in the Merrill area all his life. Survivors, besides his wife, include two brothers, Conrad, Merrill Route 1, and Frederick, Newport Richey, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Burkee, Newport Rickey, and Mrs. George Saxby, Merrill Route 2. Tracy Steinfest Services for Tracy Steinfest, four month old daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Larry Steinfest, Gleason Route 2, who died Wednesday in Madison, were held today in Schram Buettner Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. E. R.

Frank Steinfest, Gleason Route 1. Mrs. Anton Szymanski Mrs. Anton Szymanski, 72, 815 Nina Wausau, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her son, George, 807 Turner Wausau. Services will be at 9:30 a.m.

Monday at the Peterson Funeral Home, Wausau, and at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Joseph Raf acz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a VFW Auxiliary memorial service will take place at 5 p.m., followed by a combined rosary service of the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) and Rosary Confraternity at 7 p.m. A parish vigil service will take place at 8 p.m. Mrs. Szymanski was bom Oct.

16, 1902, in Paris, France, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Armond Lecocq. On Feb. 1, 1919, in Paris, she was married to Anton Szymanski, who died Oct.

8, 1964. Mrs. Szymanski was the first World War I war bride in the Wausau area. She was a member of PCCW, the Rosary Confraternity, the VFW Auxiliary and the auxiliary of the Marathon Barracks Veterans of World War I. Surviving, besides her son George, is another son James, 1810 Everest Schofield; one daughter, Mrs.

Daniel Lepak, 6605 N. Mountain Road, Wausau; 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, 13 step -grandchildren and three step -great grandchildren. Brunow services Services for William O. Brunow, 74, 1905 W. Main Merrill, who died Sunday, were held today in Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.

The Revs. Donald Schulz and Stephen Koenig officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Hamburg. Pallbearers were Albert Lohff, Roger Doepke, Ervin Luedtke, Edward Dahl, Frank Schoen-herr and Elgart Baumann.

Bra in ard-Ge home economics. On Feb. 25, 1916, in Wausau, she married James Meehan Pfiffner, who died in 1970. Mrs. Pfiffner was active in civic and charitable activities in Stevens Point, including St.

Francis House, Canterbury House, and St. Michael's Hospital. She sang in the choir and headed the Altar Guild at Episcopal Church of the Intercession for many years. She also volunteered her services to the nuns' house at Fond du Lac and in New Jersey. Survivors include two sons, E.

John Pfiffner, Prospect Heights, and David M. Pfiffner, Northbrook, a brother, John C. Sturtevant, former publisher and present board chairman of The Herald, who resides at 1005 McClellan Wausau; two sisters, Mrs. George L. Ruder, 912 Hamilton and Mrs.

Victor G. Geisel, 812 Mclndoe both in Wausau; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Miss Armilda Rifleman Services for Miss Armilda Rifleman, 87, formerly of 714 Chicago Wausau, who died Thursday morning, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Peterson Funeral Home, Wausau. The Rev.

Donald Huston of First Presbyterian Church, Wausau, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call now at the funeral home. Miss Rifleman was born Jan. 1, 1887, in the Town of Texas, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Edward Rifleman. She was a retired school teacher. Survivors include three brothers, Clarence Rifleman, Mosinee, Herbert Rifleman, Owatonna, and Harvey Rifleman, Rhinelander; and two sisters, Mrs. Lily Waterman, Detroit, and Mrs.

Esther Gehrke, Chicago, 111. Mrs. Alma Jankowsky Mrs. Alma Jankowsky, 86, a former Merrill resident, died Tuesday in Sunnyside, Wash. Services and burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m.

in Merrill Memorial Park. The Rev. Dale G. Kuck, pastor of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ in Merrill, will officiate.

Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Jankowsky was born Oct. 28, 1888. She was married in 1921 in Milwaukee to William Jankowsky, who died in 1959.

She was a former teacher at Miss Wetstein School for the Deaf in Milwaukee. Mrs. Jankowsky lived in Merrill and in 1971 moved to Mabton, Wash. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edward Manthey, Mabton.

Mrs. Elizabeth Hinz Mrs. Elizabeth M. Hinz, 76, 1803 E. Sixth Merrill, died Thursday at 2 p.m.

at a Merrill hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Revs.

Eberhard Klatt and Gerhard Michael will officiate and burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill Sunday from 2 until 9 p.m., and at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the hour of services. The former Elizabeth Murray was born Nov. 13, 1898, in Scotland, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. John Murray. She was married Aug. 4, 1920, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Emil A. Hinz, who died Jan.

23, 1963. She was a member of St. John's Ladies Aid, the Dorcas Society and the Busy Fourteen Homemakers Club. She was sergeant at arms for the Auxiliary to Edward Bums Post 46, American Legion; and was senior vice president of the Auxiliary to Lincoln Barracks 1347, World War I Veterans. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.

Alfred Wendland, Irma Route a son, Raymond Hinz, Fond du Lac; a sister, Mrs. Grace Fowler, Edmonton, Alberta, Canda; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Wolff services Services for Mrs. George Wolff 77, Motor Hotel Wausau, who died Tuesday, were held today at Helke West Chapel, Wausau. The burial was in Mt.

Emblem Cemetery, Chicago, 111. Mrs. J. Meehan Pfiffner, 82, died at her apartment in the Whiting Motor Hotel, Stevens Point, Thursday afternoon, following a short illness. She was the daughter of the late John L.

Sturtevant, founder of the Wausau Daily Record Herald. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Intercession, Stevens Point. The Rev. Conrad L.

Kimbrough will officiate. There will be a committal service in the chapel of Guardian Angel Cemetery, and burial will follow later in St. Stephens Cemetery, Stevens Point. Friends may call at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point, from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.

The former Mary Louise Sturtevant was born Feb. 1, 1892, in Waupaca. The family moved to Wausau in 1908. She was a graduate of Wausau East High School and she attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, majoring in Leonard E. Bergh Services for Leonard E.

Bergh, 55, 300 N. Ohio Merrill, who died Wednesday morning in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Wood, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Taylor Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Ami Jacob-son, pastor of the Merrill Assembly of God Church, will officiate and burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home now until the hour of services. Mr. Bergh was born April 5, 1919, in Woodruff, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bergh.

He owned and operated Bergh's Mobile Service Station in Merrill for several years. He was a member of the Merrill Eagles Aerie 584. Survivors include three sons, Leonard, Stevens Point, Dennis, South State Street, and Larry, 214 Scott both of Merrill; a brother, Arnold, Lisle, and a sister, Mrs. Leonard Melberg, Excelsior, Minn. Lapinski Stanley W. Lapinski, 87, Hatley Route 1, died Thursday in the Town of Ringle. Services will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. at Janssen Funeral Home, Schofield, and at 10 a.m. at St.

Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Sigismund Lengowski will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where there will be a rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday. Mr. Lapinski was born Aug. 27, 1887, in Poland, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William Lapinski. On Oct. 26, 1921, he married Mary Lapinski, who survives. He was a veteran of the Polish Army and a former farmer in the area. Survivors, besides his wife, include four sons, Walter and Joseph, both of Milwaukee, Edward, Ringle, and Frank, Hatley Route three Mrs.

Alice Boyer, Wauwatosa, Miss Marcie Lapinski, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Rose Jozwiak, Hatley Route and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Norman Priebe Word has been received in Wausau of the death of Mrs. Norman Priebe, 65, Menasha, a former Schofield resident who died in Menasha Tuesday.

Services were held there Thursday. Survivors include her husband, Norman Priebe; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Goetsch, Marinette; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Spatz, Elgin, 111., Mrs. Lucille Muenchow, 1616 Daley Schofield, and Mrs.

Rosemary Beitinger, 204 Martha Rothschild; two brothers, Lester Anderson, Grand Rapids, and Jerome Anderson, 1702 Military Rothschild; and three grandchildren. Barthels services Services for William Barthels, 85, Merrill Route 1, who died Monday, were held today at Helke West Chapel, Wausau. The Rev. But doctors pronounced him in good health and he was discharged five days later. He intended to tape a television special and take a guest role in a film. His most recent public appearance was Dec. 8 to accept an award from the Hollywood Women's Press Club. Benny's career began more than 60 years ago in vaudeville.

John Thanig. He married the former Violet Marion on Feb. 20, 1937, in Mosinee. He was a shoe and clothing salesman in Mosinee before moving to Wisconsin Rapids in 1957. Survivors, besides his wife, include two daughters, Mrs.

Thomas Winegarden, Nekoosa, and Mrs. Joan Guillaume, Wisconsin Rapids; three brothers, Joseph, Milwaukee, and Glen and Stuart, both of Mosinee Route 1, and seven grandchildren. Edward C. Blanchfield Edward Charles Blanchfield, 88, 506 Cleveland Merrill, died at 7 a.m. today at home.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Krueger Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Merrill. The Rev.
